This program is modeled after Linux fdisk, but it's for GPT partitions. So, the only way to rectify this is to start over?

I installed updates, and started to install proprietary drivers, when it froze completely. However I am a newbie with Ubuntu and terminal and such and would be really grateful if you could explain the process is easy steps. Hi, i had a working dual boot setup with OSX and Ubuntu until yesterday where i tried to reinstall grub2 during a lucid install to a unused partition. Home Ubuntu Trusty gptsync. I wasn't able to successfully run gptsync as mentioned above, so I just tried to boot to the legacy os partition at the refit bootup screen, and then grub runs and i'm allowed to choose ubuntu, and it works!

Reinstall OSX hopefully from a backup, and if you have a bootable backup, say with CCC or some other cloning tool, you can boot from the backup, use Disk Utility there, and then just clone the drive over. But it seemed to work when i just switched in to super user. You may need to alter your link depending on version and location.
